frequently asked questions
Do I need therapy?
If you've made it this far, I imagine there's a good chance you've pondered this question. Here's what I believe: we're profoundly relational beings, and whatever journey of growth and change you hope to embark on can only be made better by inviting a trusted person to walk with you. I'm glad to talk with you about what's brought you to consider therapy and explore whether it would be a good fit.
How often should I attend therapy?
I recommend weekly sessions for at least the first four to eight weeks, after which we can revisit frequency based on your needs and schedule.
How long does therapy take?
This depends on your unique circumstances and goals. The length and frequency of therapy is something we'll discuss together throughout our work.
How long are sessions?
A typical session lasts 50-55 minutes.
What are your fees?
My standard fee for a 50-minute session is $180.
Do you accept insurance?
I don't accept insurance and I’m considered an out-of-network provider. If you'd like to pursue reimbursement with your insurance company, I can provide you with a receipt or superbill. I recommend contacting your insurance provider for more information about your out-of-network benefits and coverage.
What methods of payment do you accept?
I accept all major credit and debit cards, including HSA/FSA cards.
What is your cancellation policy?
You're welcome to cancel or reschedule a session with 24 hours' notice. Without that notice, you'll be charged the full session fee for missed or no-show appointments.
Will my sessions be confidential?
Yes, I maintain full confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. There are only a few exceptions mandated by law: suspected abuse or neglect of children, the disabled, or elderly; if you present a serious, imminent threat of harm to yourself or others; or if a court orders disclosure of treatment records.
